By English Department
As we all know, learning a language is a process- just like writing. We worked on this activity for a few weeks; students had to write a very short story about their experiences at school, using only 100 words.
Their time at this school will be coming to an end soon, so this year is their “first goodbye.”
We hope students have had time to reflect on experiences at school through this activity. We would like to share some of them with you. There were so many lovely stories, but we could only pick a few.
We would like to say thank you for participating in the IHC in 100 words activity. We hope our students reflected on many of the varied experiences they have had at school. Thank you and feel free to read the stories posted around.
WINNER – 1ST PLACE
Homework and Heartbeats
English was good
Music was hype
I liked them both, they were quite the delight
Math was alright, and so was science
I’m not good at any of the two, but there was compliance.
History was my favorite
And philosophy was too
You learn a lot and it makes it easier for you
Some tests were successful, some were so dreadful
Teachers were always there for me to be helpful
One day, in school, I tripped and broke 2 of my teeth
And my friends and teacher were keen to act quick
Keeping IHC in my heart, now comes uni’s part.
